We will provide you with an estimate of our charges at the outset of your case, based on the information you give us and our assessment of the amount of work which is likely to be required. This may be reviewed from time to time.

Unless we are able to fix the costs for you, we will charge you £210.00 per hour plus VAT for time spent on your case by either of our directors.

To give you some further information about how competitive this rate is, the Court Service issues annual guidelines setting out the recommended hourly charging rate for solicitors in different areas. The current recommended hourly charging rate for solicitors with our level of experience in this area is £255.00 excluding VAT.

When we calculate the charges, each hour is divided into units of six minutes, so you are only charged for the work which we undertake on your case. To make things as clear as possible for you, the bills provide a full breakdown of the work which is undertaken and the time which is charged for that work.

To keep you up to date, we will aim to send you an interim bill on at least a monthly basis. This means that you are able to keep a close eye on the costs.
